Stimulus Checks?

If your 17, and you live with your parents, do you qualify for getting a stimulus check if you paid your tax thing back in 07?

My mom and dad got theirs, but neither my 19 year old brother or I have received it yet if we were supposed to...

Thanks,

Curt

they claim you as a dependent so they get a few extra bucks...

and you get jack shit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you can be claimed as a dependant, you get no check. I'm 21, and met all the other requirements, but since I am in college and am claimed on my parent's taxes, no check for me.

Unfortunately, there is no financial advantage to them not claiming me. They get more money by claiming my tuition than I would if I claimed myself and added in the stimulus check.

Im pretty sure they claimed my sister as dependent and yes I did make well over 3 grand last year.
Ask how much they got.

Assuming they're married, and make under 150k

They would have gotten 1800$ if they got it for you and your brother.

Dont feel bad my parents dicked the shit out of me as well.
I have a feeling they spend much more on you than you would have got with a stimulus check. That's usually the case with most college-age people, which is why the government screws us on our taxes
