Message: <blockquote data-quote="helotaxi" data-source="post: 4135226" data-attributes="member: 550915"><p>Most of the time, yes, the engie block provides the ground for the alt.  The block is usually grounded with 2 or 3 braided straps to the frame.  I usually supplement this with a nice fat ground straight to the battery from the block.  1/0 wire isn't needed in you case because of the amount of power that you're working with.  If you have no plans to upgrade significantly, I would just go with 4 ga.</p></blockquote><p></p>
