Sticky buttons

The buttons on my alpine cda-9813 recently got sticky and hard to push. I think its because my friend got a little soda on some of them. Has anyone had luck with taking the face plate on one of these apart and cleaning it? Or any headunit at that matter? Thanks

i took it apart and cleaned it tonight. Not hard at all. Just 3 screws and it all comes apart.
