Steps on Painting Rims?

Okay, so I bought some new 18" DUB Trump Spinners. They have the black wheel with the chrome spinner.

I am thinking of painting the black wheel itself white just like my car.

I was wondering what steps I should use to do this process or should I just take it to a body shop and save the trouble/hassle?

i would take it to a shop unless u know how to wet paint or powdercoat rims..Big job, and if u mess up ur gonna be pissed..

i would probably just hope they are still returnable then sit by yourself in a darkroom until you have realized how wrong what you have done is

dont paint them sand blast and powder coat or keep them how they are

sand, tape, primer, paint, clear. no big deal.

rims can be painted if they are raw but I have never seen raw spinners....

spinners are gay anyways

I have yet to see a nice set of spree-wheels. They don't twinkle like chrome rims and get dull very quickly

the rim itself has a freakin powder coat on the rim NOT THE SPINNER. dont get involved in convo's you know nothing about.

Here's a link to a rim painting thread at a forum i go to for my car. I painted my rims black and they look great. It's very time consuming, but if you don't have the money to pay for powdercoating it saves a lot of money.

dupli-color makes wheel paint and their website has instructions but I would melt your wheels down and start from scratch

Def. get it professionally done. If you mess up just KILL YOURSELF..Nice rims btw I would own em in a minute
