step down

i have a 2003 ford f150. it has the factory am/fm, cd player in it. i need to know what wire go where when installing this step down. please help.

Are you talking about a Line output converter? To step down a speaker level signal to a low level signal like RCA interconnects carry?

i think thats what it is, you wire it into your stock wiring. then you can plug your rca cables into it to go to an amp.

i have the convertor right here in front of me i need to kow what color wires do the wires on the convertor go to. i had it on the truck before and took it off to install a cd player and it took all the power from my amp for some reason so i want to put it back the way i had it but don't remember what wire goes where and the ___ Holes at circut city wont tell me where it goes.

do a google search for your wire diagram of your vehicle, then use the rear speaker wires if your going to use it on the subs, and the front speaker wires if you are running them to a highs/mids amp
