just kidding...
ok listened to it twice so far, the vocal loop is good, the keyboard is very smooth, flows very well,

just the cymbals are are a little on the harsh side and have a very drum machine sound, is that what you were going for?

other than that I love it, what ever it turns into will be great for crusing

I dont EQ and all that stuff until I'm done. I just started putting it together so we'll see what happens.

And...I agree...it will be fixed, but for now I'm just concerned on whether or not it ***** overall //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

**** brock how the hell do you make it sound so sweet.. simple but sweet it seems.. im digging this beat.. real mellow and laid bacc.. where do you get most of your sounds from? you sent me a couple of VSTs and some percussion stuff awhile bacc and i thought i was making decent quality-sounding tracks with them until i posted on futureproducers.com and they said i need to BUY some better samples.. have you ever spent money on any samples or soundS? i was thinking i can just find sounds online for free or are the sounds people buy actually better-sounding? i also always thought the sounds they sell on ebay are probably just a bunch of free-downloaded sounds compiled into a huge collection.. and if i do need to purchase sounds i wouldnt know WHERE to start and WHAT sounds to look for.. all i know is i want the sounds that all the top producers are using these days so i can see what i can do with what they work with!

an example of a horrible-sounding track i made would be "PIANO MELODY" from my soundclick.. although i think it sounds rather pleasant on headphones, once i play the track through my speakers it sounds like doo-doo.. hope you can give some more helpful 411.. thanks for everything man and keep doing what you're doing!

no, I've never bought any sounds, ever. If you search around online you can find some good drumkits and short samples here and there. My method is sampling records and using my own instruments, and then touching up things with vst instruments. *Most* of my guitar / bass / drums / etc I use are samples I've recorded myself. If you catch me online in a good mood I can send you some sounds to get started with. Other than that...check out these forums and frequent them. Once you get to know the people they are very helpful...

As far as your beat goes, I thought it was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the high-pitched chime. Your melody and arrangement was good...

one more question bro, (sorry for hi-jacking, but come on man you already know your ****'s tight!).. when i posted that piano melody on fp.com, they said it sounded off-key.. does any of it sound off-key to you? i made sure to use the same keys in every melody/instrument.. wouldnt that make sure everything is in the same key?

the high pitched chime is what sounds off key...

and just because you use the same keys in *different* instruments doesn't mean the final product will be in the same key. sometimes different samples aren't recorded in proper tune, etc so therefore playing one on top of another will give you different notes. just do whatever sounds good to your ear, and not what the computer says...

sweet ****....the scratching is really on point and done EXTREMELY well....that is hard to mix in there for most people....who raps over your stuff on your Myspace page? the dude in Emotional Design and the other guy in Deja Vu sound different to me...Emotional Design had some pretty clever lyricism and the flow was on point...Deja Vu was kind of weak...all the way around...but the Never Fake was sick...good ****
