Hi guys,

I just got about 9 copys of this for my xbox. Not one of them have worked. By 9 copys i mean going back and returning them for another etc. pain in the butt wasted 6 hrs doing this and nothing. Walmart policy/ they say federal law they cant give me my money even though no game worked i had to get another one instead. I was pissed gave a hard time witch i never do. But got my money went to a new store today and bought a copy, still no work. And now they wont give me money or even a diff game. I think this is some b.s. Was wondering if anyone has run into this problem as well. I understand it is a new game. It is not my xbox. That is about 3 weeks old. And I have tried the game on some friends as well and no work. I am thinking of calling NAMCO and seeing what is going on with this. All the hype got 2 days off from work ready to rock this game. And nothing. Just let me know your input if possible.Or maybe alot of us are having this problem and they will refund us. I know I wont get the $30. worth of gas for going back and forth and nothing for my 6-8 hrs wasted on my 2 days off.

0 for 9, I've never heard of that for the same game unless the manufacturer made a huge production mistake. Did you ever think that I could be your XBox?

he said his xbox is only three weeks old...... if it was having problems like mine it wouldnt read the DVD versions of games or the CD version usually they have a problem with one or the other or both. so if the other games you have work. then it just plain weird..... aliens are erasing that game for some reason...... "some erie music".........

It is not my xbox. That is about 3 weeks old. And I have tried the game on some friends as well and no work.

he also stated that he also tried it on some friends systems. Im just guessing its either a bad shipment, or just playing bad luck.

yea not my system i dont think, I called namco today and get this, they cant do nothing about it for me. I have to take it to the store but the store says i got to contact namco. TAlk about some b.s all I said is I want a game that works or my money back, And neither can be done. I think this is very rude and I know why it took me so long to buy a xbox. So now I have to wait 1 week until the main guy gets to the store and can do something for me maybe said a sales clerk. So I have my xbox listed with all the games if anyone is interested lol. I bought it just for this game. Some one on sound domain said there lookn for one so I through mine out to him for some offers. If anyone interested let me know I dont want this thing. Got around $400 invested into it in the past few weeks now. And every thing is in new condition. But man this is some shit a major company cant help the little guys out on nothing. $55.00 to me isnt a whole lot but its alot,. and $55 to them aint nothing but they cant do nothing about it.

if u care too say what store is this. as long as i have had a reciept(sp?) I have never had this problem and I have shopped at EB, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Sam goodey, and On Cue. so this sounds like 1 store I would like to smack people around in.

well honestly the first store was walmart were I went through most of the copys then after a huge fight I got my money and went to oncue the next day. Still now I have to wait 1 week to talk to the head guy i guess. I just read up some stuff and I guess some xboxs are having problems with this game its somethign with the lens in them. Some work some dont. Its just the disk used I guess doesnt like the lens, I think its some bs though

sounds like my friend got lucky then 1:1. That is some B.S. though.

I like the game for the ps2 ?? mm 700hp rx7....

On another note, it should be the stores problem not yours... that suxs...

it should be someones problem not mine lol thats what I think as well. But neither walmart oncue namco or xbox feel this way. Seems if they make a game that wont work with certain xboxs they should state that. I found a forum on xbox. And theres so many people with the same problem that I have. And all are in the same boat. I am gona try to get them to sign something and send it to xbox or namco sayin the problem and we all should not be out $55.00 a piece for something we wanted but they couldnt supply. I am gona look into laws about this. There has to be something. there claiming to sell a game that works but it doesnt, and now wont do nothing about it.

There aren't any stores I'm aware of that will return opened merchandise unless it's defective. However, this is definately a case of where they should have issued the money back after the second faulty copy. I work for GameStop, and the policy is that you can't return it once it's opened except in exchange for another copy (ie. defective). However, exceptions can be made if the game still does not work after the second copy. When customers complain about our return policy or give us grief, I usually remind them that we're more lenient with returns than any other retailer out there, including Walmart. You might save a couple bucks at Walmart, but a company like GameStop is going to treat you better when bad things happen. (not trying to plug my employer, just trying to be helpful)

SRS is junk anyway.. from what little I played, I walked away with the following conclusions:

1) Excessively shiny maps

2) Patheticly modeled/skinned cars

3) Mario Kart Double-Dash has better drifting physics

Another game that tried to be Need for Speed: Underground, and failed. Juiced is in limbo because of Acclaim going bankrupt. Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition is an unknown at this point, but NFS:U 2 is pretty impressive from what I've played of the demo.

Getting back to the original point, I've heard nothing about a bad batch of SRS discs, and I've had no customers complaining of the game not working. Given that you tried multiple copies on different machines, it's probably not an isolated incident.

I havent heard of the Gamestop. I dont think there is one around here. I am not much of a gamer any more. I am into racing games like the Grandturismo, that hooked me and nothing sence I like Tokeyo Extreme racing or somethn like that for PS2. But Like I said I read up and its not the game its certain Xbox sysytems something about there drive and lens wont work on this game only. I think its some BS. And have stated that to namco and xbox when I called them and on there forum site on xbox.Just wrong me to be out that money, but I guess the guy will now let me trade it for a diff game when the head guy at oncue gets back monday, So I listed my xbox for sale only a few weeks old in classifieds if anyones interested. I dont want the thing after not having much time for it anyways and the game I want wont work on the system.

I bought it as well and it wouldnt work in my xbox. It would load to the menu then it wouldnt go any further. But luckily I have mine modded so i backed it up to my hard drive and it works. But the game doesn't compare to Juiced IMO.

Simple fix, just like what happened to my Nintendo 64 - take the game out, blow on it really hard, slam it back in the console and keep turning it off and on until it works.
