Squeezing 2 XXX 15".. in a 4cu/ft vented

Has anyone tried to squeezed a pair of XXX in a small vented box? I have had ideas about going with 4 XXX 10s but I wont have enough airspace thats recommended. I might just add another XXX 15".

My box right now is 4.25 cu/ft after all displacement. Adding another XXX would drop the total to about 4 cu/ft.

Do ya think that even though the airspace is tight, the woofers would still move some serious air?

Wow isn't one loud enough? 4 cubes will be pretty small. Can you get anymore volume at all? I couldn't tell you for sure but I think 4 is too small.

It slams hard, but I may compete. Soon enough, I will be getting another amplifier (possibly another 1000/1, but looking at a JBL BXP2200.1), so power shouldnt be an issue.

Typically, 4cu/ft per driver is needed. The box now is at maximum spec, and I cant go any larger.

Right now the thought of going with 2 15" is almost out of the question. I may just go with 4 XXX 10"s and rebuild the box.

If I do go smaller, then the XXX 15" and box will be up for grabs.
