Perhaps try emailing audionutz on ECA, he's put out lots of SQ compilations. I think you only pay like 5 buck s/h or something. (car has no system right now so I wasn't too interested in buying)

Not really, but his stuff is quite incredible.

Anything off Alice in Chains - Unplugged is really good. I love No Excuses.

Madonna's Immaculate Collection.

Dianna Krall - Live In Paris

Keb Mo's stuff is very good

Tool - Reflection (off Lateralus)

Andrea Bocelli - Romanza

Rage Against The Machine self titled is sweet.

Counting Crows - Round Here

Keane - She Has No Time

Other than that, pretty much anything you get from Chesky, Telarc, or Scheffield Labs is going to be top notch.

I like to think of Sheffield Labs as the best music not worth listening to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

This is especially true with 200g "audiophile" vinyl re-releases...some really good-sounding crap out there.

if you go to elitecaraudio.com, and pm audionutz he has a bunch of really nice sq cd's that he burns for $5 a piece
Do you own any of them?? Where did you get that?? In the interest of his operation I don't think he's charging anyone!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It would NOT be wise to put him in jeapordy like that. I'm not the compiliation cops here, but I'd hate to see it get ruined.

THe whole premise of these compilations is to do a semi-private fileshare of my personal collection with fellow ECA forum members for the sake of audiophilism , system testing and eval, sound quality demonstrations, and to introduce some songs that I have found to be absolutely stellar. Of course, if I were actually selling the music, that is piracy, and that is NOT what this is about.

As a moderator on ECA, a long-time soundoff competitor, a certified sq judge, a shop owner, an audiophile, and a system design and tuning expert, I have the responsibility of fielding queries covering all topics with regard to sound quality reproduction and am constantly bombarded with inquiries about everything you can imagine. I love it. And since I love helping people who are like me, DIY in nature, we can think of these compilations in terms of another form of "help".

With that said, filesharing, hosting, mass-distribution, etc of ANY of these discs is a definite undermining of my intention, and I hope that those of you who have shared these with me do not disrespect my work like that. You have to understand that my rip and burn recording processes and personal QA of the stuff is the reason it sounds so good. Not to mention I literally have thousands of dollars invested in my SQ cd library, and it would take someone a helluva long time to acquire as much original pressings as I have. If we go hosting and filesharing abroad, compressing, etc etc, then I have 1) no control over the quality anymore, 2) every tom, ****, and harry on the internet getting access to my exclusive and rare songs, 3) my reputation gets tarnished since the resulting quality of the recordings will diminish exponentially, 4) me and whoever else lands in court like Napster. The process I go thru for each and every compilation takes a lot of time and energy. Of course I do so because I LOVE sq and I want the stuff to sound the absolute best it can. Plus, I love helping those who compete or are building their systems DIY, or basically just share the same love of music that I do.

PLEASE do not make me regret I ever decided to help fellow sound quality nutz expand their horizons and learn how to test and tune their systems. Please do not distribute my compilations with others. Please do not host any filesharing of my songs anywhere. It is my *** on the line here and my reputation to preserve. If you are interested in the compilations, email me. Ultimately, if I am not in control of the recording process, you will never realize the full potential of the music anyway.

Thanks!

Have In Abstentia burned at 192k. One of the best SQ CD's I own. SQ is unbelieveable.
