You're not gonna give half a crap about the lyrics on this music but at least their instrumentals sound nice. [QUOTE="Decado, post: 2882192, member: 562098"] I must have misunderstood you so don't get all bent out of shape about it, I basically have the same feelings about it. Lol, I never said I don't listen to the shitty top 40 stuff, yes I do hate them, but yes I also listen to them because of their instrumentals. I'll admit it's entertaining to listen to for a while but I always end up back listening to my favorite rappers who actually can rap, rappers you can actually gain something from. I don't listen to talented rappers to "legitimize" myself so if someday I happen to be in an argument I can argue back, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, why the hell would anyone do this? Apparently you've never actually listened to poetic rap, or if you have you didn't actually listen to it. Alright, well I guess I'm getting off topic with the lyrics stuff but I'll get back on topic. Why are we arguing for the stereotype that generally rap isn't about SQ now? Maybe I missed something in the 8 pages I didn't read but I'm pretty sure this thread wasn't meant to prove whether that stereotype is real or not. Of course it's real, and it goes the same for mostly any other genre of music except for maybe techno/trance type stuff. Look at rock, WAY more people listen to that than any genre really and if you figure out percentages and stuff I'm pretty sure just as few people give half a crap about SQ there as well. Most are just listening on their stock car radios, boomboxes, best buy home theater systems. Rap, just like any genre benefits from SQ, it just matters there how much of an audiophile you are. Me personally I can't see listening to any music without good SQ. And there is some really good SQ rap, alot of this southern (atlanta and houston) stuff sounds really good on an SQ setup. You're not gonna give half a crap about the lyrics on this music but at least their instrumentals sound nice.
