Spring Posts and 10awg speaker wire

So i'm getting a box with binding posts and am going to be wiring my sub down to one ohm but in order to do so would need to have two runs of 10ga wire because my amp is internally bridged to one ohm. Could i fit two positives and two negatives on each binding post or should i just go with smaller speaker wire like 12 or 16ga? The system is around 1.5kw rms so i'm thinking 10ga might be overkill anyways. Any ideas?

sorry i meant binding posts in the title

Also I have 4 gauge power and grounds, and very soon the big 3 with 4 gauge. I'm not really seeing a need for 1/0 awg big 3 as this is the highest wattage I'll be reaching for a long time coming.

I have to ask........is the Fi SSD a dual 2 ohm or dual 4? Does your box have only one set of binding post terminals or two?
The Fi SSD is a dual 2 ohm, and yes that's my amp

Ok well you won't have to run two sets of speaker wires to get your amp to see a one ohm nominal load from that sub. Your amp is one ohm stable (not internally bridged to one ohm as you said) . Just pick one set of positive and negative terminals on the amp and run a single speaker wire (12 gauge is fine but larger won't hurt) to the binding post terminal on your enclosure. . To get the amp to see a one ohm load you will need to parallel the voice coils of your sub together in the enclosure and then wire it to your terminal cup.

Thanks, that really cleared that up. So what's the extra set of terminals for?
