So.....my sport trac been through a lot of crap through it's life, always the toy and finally decided to scrap the backseats, and put some 18's in. First did 2 of the DP's in 12 cu.ft subs up, port back....did alright, but thought hell, I have 20+ cubes, might as well wall it, and pound some ground //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Wall is 18cu.ft after displacements....280" of port, tuned to 32hz...resined all inside and couple layers of glass around the port to reinforce the angled peices. Wish I could of fit more baffles/wood but couldn't //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So I used 6 threaded rods, and double Birch baffle, rest of the box mdf.

Equipment for now:

Pioneer 6600

Earthquake 7700 EQ

3 18" IA DP's

RD 5750.1 @ .66 ohm

3 C&D 135aH'ers

MLA module, stock alt for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

On to the pics.

Still needs some work. And needs more Power. First time metered, sealed up TL 151.2 @ 33hz. Amp was cutting out, it was really hot outside...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Peaks low as helll though! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif...subs barely move, with box rise I don't have near enough power on burps.

On music it's beastly. Plays 25-35hz with stupid authority and very loud up to 70hz. I'm very happy sound wise, but looking for a 153 or so with more power and some deadening....shouldn't be too hard.

Box doesn't flex at all, except the back panel moves a tad (along with with the box as a whole) which is why i reinforced the whole back with 2x6's glued and screwed, since the amp is mounted on the box.

mids and highs are on the way, and a 250a alt....but voltage stays above 12.5v at full tilt, 13.8 at 3/4 volume all day as of now. Thinking of switching to a SD8000 also.

Thoughts? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i have the vids we did of it, but it doesnt do it justice, since the cam was being gay with the framerate thing.

from the inside the sheet metal trim looks like its fiberglass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif that worked out well lol

Looks good man. I have to steal that sheet metal idea you did to seal off the sides of the box.
truth. it actually worked REALLY well. barely moves, only reason the sides of the box aren't done yet is I want to dynamat the flashing to add some extra strength //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
nice work.. please.. for the sake of your equipment.. don't bump near home.. that amp is in a very easy to steal spot..
Yeah, no worries i dont...plus I live in a pretty good neighborhood, worst thefts around here are stolen gps's out of unlocked cars.

Very first pic of the truck covered in mud is great. God I hate when I visit my uncle on the west coast to see all these lifted "off-road" trucks that all have their show polish and shine goin on and you know for a fact that thing has never left the pavement. Kudos for having and bad *** truck and USING IT! I also don't usually see too many bangin' systems in trail rigs, pretty cool. I think I may subscribe to this. This vehicle has very much potential for epic win.

is that box bolted down? i would hate to see a slame on brake and get smashed by 200+ pounds of moofers and wood situation. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Looks nice, bet it pounds. I'm also thinking of adding another 18 and having a total of 3 BL's. You ever meter it when you just had the two, big difference?

Hah...Yes, it is. Well, not bolts but some heavy screws. the lower platform is screwed into the floor, box screwed into platform. The wall isn't going anywhere lol.

yeah, but it wasnt a wall and never completed. only did like a 147 with 3/4 aeros and like 1500w...

looks good nice job i'm sure that it slams why did you mount the amp so high up were everone if they new it was there could just snatch it why not mount it real low on the back of the box
