With a pair of Soundstream T5-12's in a 4.3 cube box with 54"sq port space tuned to 33hz. What should I expect? Would that give me high db readings?

I have them at a 2ohm load on a Power Acustic PS1 3000d. It says it can do 1100 watts RMS @ 2ohms. " As soon as I have extra cash I am getting the Soundstream TRX2000D"

Please note that this box dont fit all the way in the car, so I might have to cut the slot port off the side and slot it from the top making it a 3.8 Cube box, and same 54'sq port space with 33hz tune.

So Tell me what the possiblities are. how high would it hit? or stick with SQ?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Would need your car, box design (like how its pointed), music or test tones, charging system, barometric pressure, everything. Its extremely hard to be precise with SPL estimations. If I were you, and that concerned, I would buy a SPL meter or ask someone who's got one.

But, for a safe guess, at LEAST 90 dB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Chevy Cavalier, 2003. THe box is in the car now facing the passenger side trunk space. Part of the box is protruding into the cab, keeping me from putting the seats up " this why I am going to cut that down". I think the box is 19x43x14. 3 inch slot port as of now. So if I cut it down and face it to the back , then it should be fine or louder? I want to take it to a competition and see what it does. I been wanting to get involved in the spl sq comps.

If you build a new box using aero ports you can cut down size significantly and have the ability to change tuning frequency as you please //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Cut down size of box like how?

Here is what I did. I hacked off at the port. and sealled it up with a strip of wood. made it sealed at about 16x18x30 = 4.25 square, so the calculator says.

Sounded like POOP!! compared to the way it was, sticking out into my cab.

So, I took that strip of wood off and left it. still sounds horible. So, I am going to start there and use that as the beginning of the side slot port and put a longer peice inside, about 25.25x14.5 . I threw this in t the computer and it said I would get 54sq area @ 35Hz. I could tweek it out a litle bit, but what am I looking for? This throws the box volvume down too 2.985.

Let me know what I should try.
