spl subwoofer

I have SPL subs. They're right. As far as that sub is concerned, think MOFO with a different name. Check thezeb.com for better pricing. I can't vouch for that peticular sub, but I know I can get my ELFs (PA BLs) fairly loud on my amp, and you can clip the living hell out of them and they'll take it, easy.

The spl one is pretty much the same as the MOFO except the MOFO is a dual 2 ohm voice coil config. Whereas the SPL is a dual 1 ohm voice coil config. Other than that every thing is the exact same. Even magent size.

i have two of these splw subs and am wondering if anyone knows how i can wire them up to a final load of 2 ohms, because i am going to be running each sub to an amp which is 1200 watts at 2 ohms stable, does anybody know? thanks

you can do two DVC1 ohm subs @ 1, 4 or some really low number.

or you can do EACH sub at 2 ohms - so they would be SVC2 essentially, and wire both together and get 1 or 4ohms. i dont think you can wire two DVC1ohm subs at 2ohms. if you had the MOFO's you could- like this;

but i dont think you can. if the amp is 2channel and stable @2ohms on each channel... otherwise i think your stuck at 1 or 4 ohms.

what about series/parallel? series between the two to create 4ohm and then parallel to the amp to create 2ohms? I cant remember if thats how it woudl work though, but I do know you can include series and parallel when wiring.

hmm i'm still kinda clueless of how to do it since i have 2 amps and 2 subs since the diagram only shows hooking both subs to one amp, i think i might look into the series parallel, i think that might work

wait, you running each to its own amp? its easy then

they are dual 1 ohm right, so wire them each in series, and they will EACH have a 2 ohm load, then hook each of them up to your each of your amps, unless i missed something
