SPL Advice - 15" Rockford T1

I'm soon ordering a Hifonics 1206 amp to power my Rockford T1, some 0 gauge power wire, 0 gauge wire for the big 3, and a kinetik 1400. The box I have the sub in right now is a 2.75 cu. ft. box tuned to about 32 hz. I know this is WAY too low for decent SPL numbers. I hit only 134.3 dB when I was metered (gotta cut me a little slack, im way underpowering it, on a stock eletrical system, in a box with a low tune). I know this thing can do better than that! About what size, and what frequency range is a good box for SPL for the average 15" subwoofer? I don't need a definite number, I just would like an idea for what I'd be looking at. Thanks ahead of time...

for all out SPL in a trunk car...tune high. With ample power for the T1 go for 2.5 cubes @ 48 hz....sound like *** on music, but it would be a nice fart box for a trunk car.
Now I don't know how it works in official competitions so I might need a bit explained to me. A trunk car will only obviously compete with seats up, or could you put the seats down? What I'm looking to compete in is a smaller competition in my area where there are no real divisions or set rules other than them using the same test CD on each car. Its basically some weird techno/bass track with a 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 Hz tone sweep in between it. I forgot if I hit the 134.3 on the 30 or 40 tone, it was one of those. Now would this kind of testing (with the CD, not necessarily just a big test tone "burp" I think) go well with that high a tuning? I appreciate the answers, I'm really new to all this.

By swapable, do you mean like a tunable port? Something you could extend/contract to tune to a certain frequency? That'd be awesome. heh any build tips would be greatly appreciated as well. This last box I built (the 2.75 cu ft tuned to 32 hz) was the first one for me, and it came out pretty good I think. The sub sounds awesome in it at least, so I can't complain. I just know this thing can get much louder. I can't wait to get that new amp with about double the power. *drool*

ehhh

find out the rules to your comp. with that we can help you.

they are usuallt lenient on the basic stuff like seats up/down.

its a small local comp right?
Ya its basically a smaller local competition. No long list of rules here. Anyone can compete against anyone else, it's just basically who has the top 3 numbers places. The guy who won had 2 MA Audio subs with a 4000 watt amp and hit a 150.8, but everyone below his score wasn't too far off from my 134.3 (yes, sad, I know). 2nd place was some guy with 3 CVR's who hit 136. 3rd place was a single kicker L7 which barely beat me (in fourth place). I figure I can at least take 2nd after my electrical is all upgraded, I get the new Hifonics amp, and a new box is built. They did let me put the seats down, which I guess made it a bit more fair for the trunk cars going against the hatchbacks and trucks.

So anyone else have any ideas for box size and tuning? Like I said, I think it is music we are metered on rather than a burp. The same CD with the same heavy-bass techno track on it is used in every car, with a 20, 30, 40, and 50 Hz tone sweep in the middle of it. What tuning would be best for that? It's not really just a short burst of high power like a burp I think.

Alright thanks. Now is there any preference to size of the ported box for SPL or is that relative just to the size and output of the subwoofer you are using? Don't mind the barage of questions. lol Like I said, I'm a newb to all this and really appreciate all the help I can get from you guys.
