I was just curious how many South Dakota boys and girls there were on this forum, I remember a thread awhile back that had vids and some people listed themselves as residents. So if your from South Dakota say alittle something...but not literally.

Grew up in Rapid City, but moved to WI in 1997. Sure miss the Black Hills.

Yea I love it out here, grew up centrel SoDak...town of about 280 or so. Talk about small. The Black Hills are probably the nicest thing about SoDak

My dad used to go out by spearfish for work all the time. Nothing out there but rocks, wheat, and dirt IIRC

I used to live just north of Sioux Falls. Moved to Fargo.

I know a girl that lives in Spearfish...

No man can't say it does. And as far as spearfish just being rocks and wheat...man have you ever been to central south dakota. Spearfish is a nice change of pace for me.

Been across that state several times. Not a fun drive once you get out of the hills. I don't care how many westerns were filmed in the badlands, they still **** to drive through.

I concur. The worst part is the distance between civilization. At least on the east side of the state you see a town every thirty minutes or so. Out west it can get pretty lonely real fast.

I don't know if it's still there, but out in the middle of nowhere, there used to be a one-street town with population 2. Some old couple owned it.

haha yea I'm not sure if it's considered a town anymore. But theres still a big a$$ house or something with "ghost town" painted on the side of it. The thing that I wish wasn't included in the drive are the hundreds of Walldrug signs.
