Mike has a 6500 of mine right now, he has had it for 2 months and said it would take about a week, and I still don't have it. His communication absolutely *****. I just hope his work is stellar and worth the wait and aggrevation. Just my experiance.here is a guy that i'm going to start using to repair all my old-school amps. it's a really good deal, and the pics of his work look top-knotch. reading through his whole thread, he seems to have proven his worth repeatedly. i bet you could re-coupe the costs of repairing them with the sale of one repaired amp, maybe a little more.....http://www.caraudio.com/forums/amplifiers/485421-fixing-broken-car-amps.html
how much did he charge to fix your 6500?
I don't know about that. I would be intrested in seeing the parts reciept, as I am being invoiced for $180. Or atleast that is what he told me it would cost when he looked at it.$25 plus parts/shipping........ and he doesn't just fix the one little thing that's broke......like, if a couple power fets are blown, it gets the whole matching bank and resistors, etc.... he runs the entire amp through a bunch of tests before and after....
