People used to say Crunch wasn't a good company (except wayy back in the day), but have discovered the GP3000d is a beast of an amp, and the other models aren't. I was just curious to see if maybe another company had the same....ummm.... senerio.

I still wouldn't buy a Crunch amp no matter what it states for its power output. Let's talk efficiency, because that makes a big difference. Efficiency and power output aren't the only things that separate one amplifier from another. I'd take a Zapco 9.0 (wish I still had mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif) that does 2,200 @ 4 ohms over a GPD3000 any day. Anyone actually benched this one before? Just curious to see what it puts out real world RMS...
I don't need people to come in here and tell me it doesn't do rated power, as I know it doesn't. I'm just curious to see if anyone has actually benched it.

The CR4000.1 has an 80A fuse.

Lol...At 100% efficiency, impossible, that amp won't even do 1,200w @ 14.4 volts if it has a single 80A fuse

Mine was stolen but it did smoked two polk/momo subs in about 20 mins, seized up and all. The subs are 400rms a piece, so maybe i got about the 1200 to smoke them so bad....
