soundstage?

kind of a strang equestion regarding imaging and soundstage... either option makes sense in its own way, just wondering which is the preferred route...

center of the soundstage being in the center of the dash

or center of the soundstage being directly in front of you, as in if you close your eyes it sounds like you are center stage.

using the center of the dash as the stage makes sense in some ways, but personally i've always set mine up as the center is what is directly in front of you in the drivers seat. that way the center stage is center to ME //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just curious which one is the 'correct' way, or what ways anyone else has found to be better either in competition or just for personal enjoyment.

no correct way, its all personal preference. the second choice of yours is the most popular.

If you are setting the vehicle up for a comp, see the rules for the comp sanctioning body as to how they define center stage.

For daily driving, set it up however you want. You're the one listening to it.

Most people consider "center" to be center of the dash. Most competition organizations consider center of the dash to be "center" aswell.

like i said either makes sense to me. thanks for the answers, was just looking for some others opinions. personally i prefer it in front of me so i am sitting in the center of the stage. i have time alignment settings for both setups, but i prefer in front of me rather than having center dash as center stage for my own enjoyment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
