as far as the amp, you are probably good getting an Elemental Designs Nine.1. You could save like 50 bucks and go for a hifonics, but then you won't have the warranty, and Elemental Designs is a much more solid brand than Hifonics.

true tehy are a solid brand. nothing but great reviews for the nine.1

as for me, i went the hifonics route, w/ a 1 yr warranty.

as i see it, as long as i dont f*ck w/ my controls and toy w/ my amp, i shouldnt have any problems w/ it breaking down.

and the THD% between the two, yes the eD has less THD% (not even 1% difference i believe) so it will not even be significant to the ear.

i ordered my tx1005d yesterday.

and 1400w to an ava is too much. and rl-p's dont even need that much to reach full excursion.

cant go wrong either way.

ava was cheaper for me, and i didnt have to pay taxes (SS is in cali so i had to pay residents tax), so it worked out to save me quite a bit of money

well what im afraid of is i noe da aa can handle 1200 watts for sure but the ss i noe it can handle it too but im still afraid of da ss handling that much power. blahz im going crazy....imma shoot myself b4 i die of crazyness...>GG

both are on the same boat for power requirements/handling pretty much.

get the RL-p, if you are sending 1200-1400 watts to a D4 RL-p, then itll be seeing a good 6-700 watts.

nah imma get a dual 2 ohm rl-p and itz gonna be running all 1200 watts from my ed nine.1 amp that should be coming in soon!! Can't wait!

SS don't make the RL-p's in dual 2 anymore (at least they didn't when I ordered my RL-p 15)

IMHO 1200w is to much to be sending to an avalanche daily. What size box is it going into?
