Sorry in advance: Profile CL1200 Refurb. vs. Kole (Power Acoustik) 1920W amp? Help

I'm ordering one of these amps today; they're both $150 shipped. I've heard good things about refurbs, but the place selling the Profile is only offering a 90 day warrantee. However, I've dealt with them in the past and they've been very good, prompt and always informative (ikesound.com). Also, the Profile has a bass knob which is beyond critical for me, which the Kole doesn't.

The Kole is rated for a higher max power, but is on Ebay...I don't really know if I want to deal with that, although the seller has crazy good and high feedback. I imagine that there won't be problems if I order from that seller.

So what should I get? The Profile is rated at 900W RMS, but has 3x30A fuses (1080-1296W @ 12-14.4) which doesn't leave much ceiling for power...but the Kole is being sold by an Ebay seller. ARRRGH what should I get? I think I'm just gonna spring on the Kole...

my brother has a CL1200 and i blame that amp for killing his 15in L7 ( due to high distortion at higher volumes while playing metal )

i had a cl1200 for two years and it was loyal as f*ck. did what it was supposed to do. you can probably find one NEW on ebay for 150 last time i checked...

Not sure if it will matter in this situation, but ikesound always warrants their refurbs for 90 days. I bought a viper refurb, there was a paper in the box with a six month warranty from DEI. Maybe call Profile and ask the warranty length through the manufacturer.

Dont use the remote bass knob, nothing good can come of it.

Max power is meaningless, dont pay attention to it.

I dont know much about kole, but I always hear profile does **** close to rated power, so Id go with the profile. Just my opinion, of course.

I went for the Kole 1920W amp...it's coming in on Monday, I'll def. post a review once I get it set up.

It really doesn't matter now that the purchase has been made...but...

I've owned several Profile amps in the past (three different SX-series, two CA-series and one Clarus) and was happy with each of them. Maybe not quiiiite the output they claim but they never did me wrong considering what I paid for them.

It would be more expensive than what you'd pay elsewhere but FYI for those who hold warranties in high regard and don't already know - Profile's manufacturer warranty is 1 year excepting purchases from Crutchfield which are warrantied for 3 years.

bass knobs are gay, same thing with bass boosts on amps. I could care less if they are on an amp or not. Also the Kole may have a higher max power, but it is also more overrated than the Profile amp. The Profile would be a better choice.
