soo....is the ghetto dynomat really work....

he said he use 8 layers because his trunk lid vibrated a lot. Usually with secondskin you want to use 2+ layers for sound dampening. I used 1 layer and some vinyl liner and I'm getting by fine. with peel and seal if it doesn't get hot in your area and you're not worried about it falling apart you could go with 4 layers and get some pretty good sound dampening going. Second skin damp. pro is a little thinner than 2 sheets of peal and seal... Good luck!

I discovered that all on my own when the roofers were re roofing my roof (duh what else would the be doing up there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif) but they put this stuff down first I picked up a chunk, smelled and by golly it smelled, felt and even had the same backing as original dynamat!

i'm heading down to home depot tomorrow and pick-up some peel and seal, going to do my trunk lid and doors and rear panels on my integra, dyna-mat seems to be a rip off now the word is out, i'm gonna tell all my friends that want to dampen their car to get this stuff,

great thread
