Songs like this song?

I bought a couple of cds from a guy a couple months ago and I ended up getting a few from him just because they were cheap. Well one I bought, that I just started listening to, was the Stroke Nine - Nasty Little Thoughts cd. I'm not a huge fan of punk but I've got to say I'm impressed. I especially enjoy the first part of song #5 (Make it Last), which doesn't sound very punkish at all, more rock'ish, which I like a lot more than punk. So I was wondering, since you all seem fairly well versed in the different types of music, if you could recommend anything that sounded like that song, especially the first 30 seconds of it. I realize that Stroke Nine is a little abstract so I am uploading an mp3 of it for you guys to listen to. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Anyways, look at any alt rocking one hit wonder from the mid to late 90's if you want more stuff like Stroke 9. I bet you'd love SR-71.
