I will however answer your original question about developmentally disabled individuals. Some know they are different, and some dont. Obviously the higher functioning the person is the more likely they are to recognize that they are different.

ive always wondered if when we walk or run, or ride a roller coaster or anything that does with motion, if the ground moves instead of us physically, or the cart of the roller coaster. like each person has their own little area that moves under them, but they see it as a whole planet as far as they can see.
