Somethin to power an 18" XXX

I decided to install my xxx18, but I'm not sure what to do for power. I have a 1501d i'm using right now but I've heard things saying they aren't too good running at 1 ohms. What 1ohm amp would you recommend for 1600-2200 watts or so. I was thinking a 2500d, but I don't want that much power in my car right now.

revo is an awesome amp, well made, just kind of hard to find. ive only seen 2 in the for sale section since ive been here. get a 2500d and jus keep the gains down that would do very well.

EDIT: 2500d outt of your price range, look in the forsale forum and what ever you see, serh for it for info you will find a nice cheap veryly that way

Mitek said they bust a lot at 1 ohms. The modded 1501d you sold someone on the powered4sound forums (taurus3.0?) smoked up pretty quick as well. Modding it just takes out the protection right?
