I have that exact model Kenwood, and love it

The 492, that is. Very simple to operate and set up.

thats a good thing to know its easy to use because it looks like it has a lot of controls...this is why i liked the kenwood a little more than the pioneer because the chan selecter on the new pioneers **** to use!

a better DAC = better sounding CD's. It is what converts Digital (cd) into analog (what we hear) looks like the 492 may have it as well. Most sites that have the 492 dont mention it. I heard a 592 on a soundboardand for the price it is pretty impressive .. especially since it was a sound board i know very well LOL
