Some good 15's

so i originally wanted two subs to go in my jeep but after reading around the web i think ive decided that id rather do 1 nice sub instead of 2 decent subs. My budget is about $500ish and i need an amp also. Also i really would like for the sub to be a 15 (mainly just a personal preference)

could anybody help me out with this, would be appreciated.

oh yah and by the way i want something that is gonna sound good but also get low and beat hard. thanks

im kind of leaning towards an aq hdc3 15 on this amp...

Get that instead. 15 bucks for 500 more rms. The HDC is a good sub. A box might run you in the 250 range shipped but if you have basic woodworking ability, you can build one for the cost of a sheet of wood.

and zachfeen yah i like that idea. how would that sub handle 1500w?

also one of my buddies has two l5 15's in a 4-runner, i dont know everything about them but id say he's probably running 1000-1500 watts to em. im just kinda curious to how this aq would compare to his 2 kickers. id love to be able to rub it in his face that my 1 sub is louder than his 2 haha

His might be louder just because of cone area. As far as power goes. I ran 2300rms daily for a couple of months to mine ( didn't break a sweat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

man thats sick, i cant wait to get mine! ha but to throw a curveball in there im kinda interested in the fi q15, there both about the same price shipped so i guess ill just have to flip a coin or somethin lol.

oh and for those kickers, in a few months (maybe for christmas) i plan on buying a second set of the same speaker and amp wether it be the aq or fi and ill probably get a custom box too. i think that could take him
