Hello everyone, I'm a noob to this forum but not to car audio. However I need some assistance picking out a new deck for my car. I currently have a Pioneer Premier 740mp, which I've had since 02, but its seen better days. I'm just having alot of issues with it so I'm looking into purchasing a new head unit. Let me give you a breakdown of the rest of my system that's currently in my car. -Focal Access 6.5" components -CDT audio mids -Image Dynamics IDMAX 12" subwoofer -Crossfire VR804 4ch amp -Crossfire 1000w mono amp (blew it 2 weeks ago, also replacing). Now Ive been looking looking at two decks in particular, the Kenwood MP828 and the Alpine 9853. The reason for these two is I can get them at cost pretty much, but I'm more than willing to go out and pay retail ($350ish) if there is something thats much better than either of those decks. There isn't too much feedback on the Kenwood from my searches, but I like the fact that it has 5v pre-outs. The Alpine seems to have a good rep, but Im not thrilled about the 2v pre-outs or the glidetouch I've read about. So if you folks could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
