I replaced the factory 4" speakers in the front door with 6.5" two ways.
The 6.5" wouldn't fit in the door frame so I dremmeled out a hole in the door panel and before I placed the speaker I stuffed some soft fiberglass insulation to reduce any rattling (the fluffy kind). But I am wondering if this soft insulation would "absorb" the sound from the woofer and kill the bass.
I also have sealed 6X9 enclosures in the back and was wondering if I am SUPPOSED to put soft insulation into the enclosure behind the speaker.
