we have the locks before the lock system on the erie canal...go down there during the summer and its a good 100 foot drop. and if your really daring you can go higher.

i live in buffalo not to far from you im sure, i havent been on the canal since 4th grade. that bridge is at sunset bay beach club, off of the 90 in silvercreek.

back in AZ, there are cliffs in Sedona, we'd go to jump off, the water is pretty fresh from the mountain snow in Flagstaff. there is also some slick rock too.

we had this bridge right on this main road over a canal that lead to a 'lock' then ocean. was called snowdunes? orsomething like that. people would jump off alllll the time hwile people would be driving home. untill some *** hat threw a metal swingset in there upside down , and some kid either impaled himself or got seriously hurt.

was about 50ft then a 15 ft climb back up the wall.
