Its that time of year where I start thinking about my dad and missing him. I cant believe that this July 4th makes 6 years ago that he passed away. So be on your best behavior as I might have a short fuse for the next couple months.

MY dad is a retired National Guard, and Retired Police and homicides detective. He suffers fro a sort of ptsd from all the **** he seen. I plan to take him out for lunch and a game.

Sorry about that man. My dad is retired Navy and PD. He lost his dad when he was only 12. I'm lucky to still have him around (although he drives me crazy). Have a happy 4th and enjoy your time with the family while you can. We never know when it will be our last day...

My dad died two and a half years ago when I was 15, his birthday is next Saturday and mine is Thursday so this time of the year always gets to me.
