So im thinking about taking a loan

depends. with my ***** am, i ended up spending about 20k on it on top of the 6 i paid for it, because i did it a little at a time, changed my mind on some things, had to replace things i already had replaced to work with my new upgrades, when i probably could have gotten the same results for around 10k if i'd planned it out well and done it all at once.

if you're going to finish your truck no matter what, i'd say do it, if just saving up the money then spending it at once isnt a viable option. if you may change your mind, scrap the project, have other priorities come up in the next couple years, dont.

Finish everything on your truck in what way. If its for audio and performance, thats a horrible idea. You will end up regreting it later on. If its for legitimate repair issues, do what you need to do. Its just part of always wanting to be prepared. What if tomorrow, you accidently rear end someone after taking that 4k loan out for audio. You are screwed.

bad idea...never spend money you don't have on tangible items, you will most certainly egret it, especially if god forbid something else pops up which requires fundage.

Don't do it!!! Stupid decision. Don't borrow money on something that has no chance of providing a return. The only exception is to buy a vehicle. You pretty much have no option but to borrow money to buy a vehicle, but you have to buy one within your means because you're gonna lose money on it. Every cent you throw into a vehicle is pretty much money thrown away - you'll never see it back. So, only spend money you can afford on vehicle enhancements. In my opinion, if you have to borrow it, you can't afford it. Save money for a house, go back to school, invest it... just do something with it that is intelligent. Then, you can spend the money made off of your wise investment on your truck!

Stupid idea, by the time you pay everything off your shit will all be outdated. If there is one thing I learned it is to use CC for emergencies and for things I can pay off right away and if I can't afford it at the time I charge it then DONT BUY IT!

Coming from a reformed credit *****.

Only way I would take out a loan is if this vehicle is your ONLY form of transportation to and from your job. Meaning, only do it to the engine if it needs it. Morons take out loans for car audio or other insignificant crap because they can't save up and wait. I guess if it's worth paying more to have it now, then ok. Just make sure you make payments on time, possibly early to help your credit.
