2007 Mercury Grand Marquis

Not quite finished yet, ordering woofers friday and amp should be ready also.

This is what I have so far. I wanted a "clean" trunk and had to make a custom amp rack to fit in the corner because I don't have enough room on the gas tank hump to mount both amps. The box is 8^3 ft. for two nightshades, and will rest on top of the false floor that I made out of 3/4 inch plywood I had lying around, (didn't want to waste any mdf), lol. The 40.1 will sit in the space in front of the batteries, it is about 33 inches long so it will pretty much take up all that extra space that you see there.

thanks, I didn't measure it, just taking a good guess from the space that it took up when I had it in there the first time.

pretty clean so far, huh? The box is carpeted black also, and I'll be installing one more yellowtop to the left where the fuseholders are in the next few days, once I get the funds...

I love those trunks, that hump in the trunk has so many possibilities it's crazy. But looks clean so far though.

Looks great. I was wondering how did you attach that piece of MDF to the sheet metal of the trunk? The piece thats holding the yellow tops and IA 40. I want to do a battery rack up there, but dont want to drill into the gas tank.

it's actually not screwed down, because i was thinking the same way you are and didn't want to screw in the gas tank, so i just cut the piece to fit tight and cut out the spots on the hump that were "raised" like the spare tire hook and the raised humps on the sides by the hinges. I think it will be ok considering 120+ pounds of battery plus another 30+ from the weight of the amplifer...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
