snapped my side mirror

coming out of the airport my mirror caught on something and bent backward enough to snap the plastic connection so the mirror is hanging by the power mirror cord //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . The mirror isn't broken and the outside condition of the mirror is fine, just the inside connection is broken. Think I can glue the outside of the mirror case to the car with something so I don't have to replace it? If so what kind of glue/adhesive to use? BTW its a 2k2 civic and no pix of the broken mirror

it won't look ghetto if I can glue it on, there's no damage to the actual side mirror case, just inside to the plastic bracket that held the mirror together. time to get some gorilla glue from harbor freight among other tools, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nope... I used it on the joint for my tonneau cover that goes straight to my trucks body.. Freshly painted even and it hasn't done nothing yet.

I can't see how it would eat the paint It's a putty not necassarily a liquid.

if your going to harbor freight, just get some 2 part epoxy. right by the GG.

I just finished epoxying the mirror back on and used clamps to hold it on for like an hour. wish I had a garage so I could leave the clamps on overnight but I don't //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. When i closed the door it didn't fall off so that's promising!
