I mostly agree, but soil and other factors do contribute to the outcome of a harvest. If it was strictly genetics, everyone would be tokin on some award winning White Widow lol Potency potential is genetic obviously, but take two clones, grow one outside with minimal attention, and grow another inside on hydro with continuous care, you will get two very different potency levels and tastes.
Not unless one is very nutrient deprived, otherwise all you will change is flavor & yield.

It's way better for the grower, doesn't make the weed more potent & that's where climate comes into play. Some places are better than others. No doubt you are correct in saying indoor is easier to control. No bugs, no worries, but it doesn't affect potency.
Well, unless the environment is perfect for the plant, and the plant is taken care of regularly, the indoor plant will be noticeably more potent in that the THC will have developed fully.

Two plants of the exact same strain have the same potential potency, but it's much more difficult, and most of the time impossible, to grow the plant outdoors as well as possible indoors.

Thats very true, you are correct.

Elevation, humidity, light/UV rays etc all play a role in potency, not just yield lol
Yeah, the elevation just provides more UV light, witch would be more applicable to outdoor. Humidity can cause problems if it's too high, other than that IDK much about it affecting potency.

Read my link above //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It's not too scientific, but explains the concepts pretty well

Either way, it's a great plant. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
YES it truely is, & I don't wanna come off as being argumentative, just trying to get the facts out there.

I read it man, it just says some strains like diff humidity than others. Some landrace sativas will like a humid enviro, Indicas not so much. Not that you don't know whats up, I know you do bro.

There is much more to potency than just genetics. As someone else said, genetics merely provides the potential. many things affect potency, including soil, light, nutrients, harvest methods and timing, etc. One aspect that affects potency very much, that is almost never talked about, is the curing process once drying is (almost) complete.

lol pittsburgh weed is garbage ..we never really have anything good .. u see alot of commercial brick weed from arizona up here, if u dont know someone local growing something your getting garbage for the most part, and when it is good people want a fortune like $60/cut ..wish i lived somewhere like cali or even just closer to the west coast where its all at... best weed i ever had i got in toronto.. was unblieveable..never grew weed but i have friends that do and i know its not as easy as people act like it is..
