Its the gloves. U must be sweating liek a motha out there in the heat. I had a similar issue with my lifting gloves, so I quit using them, and the trade off for the smell were the "rough" hands...

Yea, all gloves are like that, everyone on our team is like that, they just throw em away after a couple games, but i know the smell and i wouldnt want it on my hands either
im a painters prep my hands reek from dealing with all the nasty crap to A.fill imperfections for painting B. chaulking the windows and door frames etc
just wash your hands with a slice of lemon near by like they do in the asian food places that lemon oil will naturally get the stank out.
read the above post he knows what im talking about never heard of using olive oil tho.
