Slim Ps2 Warrenty

I bought a Ps2 12-17-05 and used it 30 times at the most. The other day the thing stops working. The cd will not spin anymore. I have the receipt from the orginal purchase. Is there a way possible to get this thing fixed from sony?

doubt it. it's over a year old. you'll have to pay for repairs

If you look online I believe there are instructions on replacing the dvd drive on those, I know it was a pretty common thing with the first gen ps2 not sure about the slims tho.
