Skipping HU

Well since I finally got my sub-stage back together yesterday for the first time since my old HU was stolen I realized that the cheap JVC that I am using isn't going to work since the bass is making it skip when playing a cd. So my question is what to get. The only feature I consider as a must is a high pass filter. There are so many nice units out there I just dont know what to pick. Thanks.
