Skar Audio SK-1200 on a DC LVL 2 10?

Sub will be in a .5cu.ft. sealed enclosure & wired @ 2ohms. Sub is rated at 600w rms, but I've heard that's underrated. The SK 1200 puts out 872w @ 2ohms. Would this be too much? Would 700-750w be a better range to shoot for? I've never set the gain on an amp "the right way" (playing tones and measuring with an o-scope or going by ear) but I'm usually pretty conservative and have had nice results in the past. I plan on doing it the other way for this setup though.

I agree, just didn't know if that was too much. I have no experience with DC Audio so, I wasn't sure if the sub could take it. I wouldn't have been scared to put 700-750w to it. Just checking on the 872w because I've heard great things about those Skar amps and would love to finally use one.

It won't be a problem. 100w won't be the breaking point for that sub. If you're concerned with overpowering it, you can always just feel the dustcap on the sub to see if it's hot after playing for a while.
