I am trying to sell my 15" Immortal sub, if you are interested pm me. But I was wondering, would you go with 6 12" Type E subs or the one 15" Immortal. I am going for more of sq, but wouldnt the 12's still be louder than the one 15? It will have about 1200 watts being put out. The 15 can handle 2250 watts and the 12's can handle 200 a piece. Do you think the 12's would still be as loud as the one 15?

I was wanting to order 6 of these from crutchfield and build a sealed box if I could sell my 15" Immortal sub.

You're joking right? Let me think 15 inches of cone area or 72 inches. Hmmm... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smash.gif.499e08a4a35ffaf54f4c8194fb8fe8ed.gif

Thanks for the sarcasm man. I was just wondering though, because the 12's only handle 200rms a piece. And the 15 handles 2250 rms. Someone please buy this sub from me. I can cut you a deal. Pm me if you want pics.

how much trunk space do you have and why are you so desperate to be deaf? when my system is too quiet for me I turn the volume (ie 28 of 32 is no longer loud) down a bunch to say 18... never turn it above 18 for a week or two... then crank it up a couple notches and shazam... 20 now sounds loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif... but to answer your question yah there is no replacement for cone area.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif 6 12's are going to pound the 15 to death... and power rating does not equal output per say... getting good subs in good boxes with the proper power is the best way to get max SPL... but 2000W rms doesn't hurt either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I wouldn't go with Type E's...

I decided on going with 8 Type Rs.. run off a Orion 2500d (for today that is)

You could pick up the Type S for cheap on Egay...

Still waiting on the new R's to come out..

why is everyone all of the sudden just adding the cone sizes together? that isnt anywhere NEAR what the correct numbers are...

the 6 12's have 1017 of cone area and the 1 15 has 176 inches of cone area. i would personally have like 2 15's in a nice ported box then a bunch of low end subs.

6 alpine type e subs in sealed enclosure, or one audiobahn 15" immortal in ported enclosure tuned to 35Hz

well since you have narrowed yourself down to those choices i think i would do the alpines. even though it is, sealed the amount of displacement will probably make it louder and have better sq.

Yeah this is funny...HOW COULD YOU EVEN COMPARE 6-1 LOL! Thats funny...probably the funniest thread on here...Don't mean to flame but thats just logical. They'll all be louder and everything. Why you using Crutchfield Use ebay You'll get all that for half the price.

I agree with ngsm

hehe.. it's amazing.. people think our forums sell things... anywho try the website but last time I looked you needed to call for pricing...
