Sirius Reception Problems

Hi All,

My problem is that my Sirius reception has been cutting in and out for several weeks now. I lose reception for 1-3 seconds, and then the song comes back.

But the next trip, it will start cutting out every 45 seconds or so. Sometimes more frequenty, which is incredibly annoying. I can be at a stop light with no obsticals or clouds overhead, and it will suddenly cut out. All my other music sources work fine. (Thankfully!)

I have one of those SIR-KEN boxes that I bought a couple years ago off of eBay, which is hidden and connects to my head unit. My hunch is that the Antenna isn't working as well as it used to. (Seems solid-state to me, so I don't know if they can "fatigue" over time.) If I have to replace the Antenna it will be such a pain, because its threaded under carpets, under seat, behind panels, etc. to position it above the back end of my double cab.

where is the sat ant mounted at. This can cause issues with picking up a signal. If you are around a lotta talk buildings can do the same thing too.

Maybe your antenna cable got pinched somewhere and finally wore through. The cable that comes on the antennas is some tiny crap. Grab a new antenna and just throw it through a window on the roof and see if it fixes the problem.

that too. It does not like being pinched hard for sure. Do you have it near a sunroof. When I used to have mine it was. If I had it open my signal would go to crap.

sirius antennnas **** they go bad every other day, you will just have to replace it sorry
