Sigs

Is anyone else annoyed by the extreme length of some of the members sigs ? Not to nitpick, but if a sig takes up an entire screen at 1024 x 768, it's just a bit big. Not sure if theres any official forum rules on sigs, but it seems rather rediculous. Hopefully this'll either get the mods to act or some of the members to tone it down. For the mods/admins, a good example of a good sig policy (imho), is on tranceaddict.com. They have an easy to use gauge that will show you if your sig is too big (it's in the members profile, basically two lines, one "max" line, and one that goes at the bottom of your sig. If the "max" line is passed by the other one, sig is too big).

Maybe I'm being nitpicky, don't mean to start flames, but come on, some of these sigs are MORE THAN an entire screen long, much longer than most posts!

there is way for you to turn off the sigs so you dont even have to see them...

Yes in the User CP, you can turn them off. Yours is pretty big there as well. The ones that I made for people are approximately 450-500x125 pixels. I think that is a reasonable size, and if you want you still can list the gear you have installed above or below them. On a typical monitor (1280x1024) you can fit the entire post and signature of two members in the window.

1280 isnt an avg res //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i usually base design on 800x600 or 1024x768 ... but yes your sigs are fine effendi. i say anyhting over 10 lines needs to be cut. or 300px or so tall
