I've had this thing for a good couple months now and finally got it hooked up today. First Impression: wow! This thing has some nice output. I'm on a stock electrical system, for the time being. It is in 2cu @ 32hz (thanks for the box plans Moe) and it's being powered by a Merlin md2d. Same box and tuning I have, I was really impressed with the output, and I have a trunk vehicle. It hit 141 on music with the TL. Bet it sounds nice in the Explorer.

I've got the same box myself, but I believe it's tuned to 34Hz.

Hmmm... makes me rethink my decision to get a fully loaded BTL. Always wanted to own one of these!

You would not be sorry with the Mag. I was told if I wanted a little more output to tune to 34HZ. I went with 32 and still hit that in my trunk. Chevyaudio used a 12 Mag at the same show I was at to hit like 145+ on single 12. It was in single cab pickup off of a IA 20.1, but potential is there.

I am 31 and have owned 20 or more subs in 15 years of Car Audio, and have never been more impressed than the Mag.
