SI Mag v2. vs. Fi Q?

Well my beefed up Nightshade is pretty intense with the 3kw, but I would like to try a sealed approach and do some fiberglass work in my car (I always have to be changing something). I am looking at both of these subs but which one these will get louder? Can the Mag handle 1.5kw?

EDIT: title should say D2v4

The newest Mag I am assuming.

If it is the new Mag then no, they will not take much over rated as they have a rather small coil. The V3 Mag had a huge beefy coil and could take 1500 daily like a champ.

i agree with the havoc suggestion, also the rd alpha v.2 is a nice sq sub that will take gobs of power, the the Q with bp option, the re XXX or the MX, the mags are NICEE but i dunno about 1500w (not saying they won't i truly don't know)

Those RD's look like subs from the early ninites - I don't care if they sound just like the havocs - which they most likely don't - and I don't care if they are louder in a sealed box, which they aren't with 16mm of xmax. I also don't care if they cost less, which - you guessed it, they don't. - Those subs look cheesy as ****. He could build the nicest fiberglass trunk in the world, and have those inverted or mounted conventionally, and it would still look ****ing retarded. The cone is ugly as bawls and so is the boot. I know looks don't mean shit as far as sound, but if your going to build a nice fiberglass box to show off, you don't want some shit that looks as goofy as audiobahns.

You can't go wrong with the Q's which I think you have had or the havoc (especially sealed)

Plus the cone on the havoc is mad sexy - and would look at home in a fiberglass box.

I had the same 98 Eldorado, same red and everything, I loved that car - do it right, don't rice that ***** out with some light blue subs or anything cheesy. Make that trunk look smooth and flow like its stock. 727 do it right.

If your talking about the new mags - I don't think they can handle 1500wrms. Even if they can handle a little more than they are rated, no one has had their hands on them to even try.

Based off what I have read, if you decide to use the new mags - I would get 4 of them...

In what your install? Or all installs ever with all types of given power and enclosure sizes and types ever?

Or because some dude at RD was nice to you on aim and sold it to you for less than its absurdly high msrp.
