A Mag 15 will not take 1800 watts all day long. Maybe in 1 cube sealed, but 1800 is just incredibly overkill for such an efficient driver. It will, however, take 1800+ watts like a champ for burps at certain frequencies.

Thanks guys...

I have the Sundown 1500D on it right now and it HITS like nothing I've heard before

sealed at 2.5. Any chance I'm going to blow this thing up at this power? It doesn't

distort at all, even at high volumes. I'll have pics and a vid once I finish the install

next weekend.

I'm going to power my Mag with a Hifonics Brutus 1606D at 1 ohm daily. Should I take any precautions or be weary of this?

Nick doesnt like it, but we have put 5kw on a pair of mags on music for 3-5 minutes at a time with no issue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. After a while they do tend to get stinky tho.

Jacob(Sundownz) has beat the hell out of the 2 mags he uses for tests.

for testing purposes and for small durations, they seem to take lots of power but i think electrodynamic knows a bit about what they will take daily:veryhapp:

Yeah, I got this sub from Jacob. It was one that he re-coned himself. I love it to death, but if I'm

going to put it through too much pain I would rather sell it to someone else or I guess I could get

a smaller amp...

or you could realize that a amp can put out any amount of power less than it's rms that you want it too. Set the gains for less than 1800 and your golden.

The 1500D only puts out 1500 watts. That first question was asked because I was thinking about getting a IA 20.1

get another mag and run 2 on the 20.1....you won't be disappointed, specially if you have room to go ported

turn down the gain...watch the volume...you'll be ok

I'm at about half right now (on just about all the settings except I have the subsonic off)...it seems to love it...no smell at all....no distortion/bottoming...
