SI Mag 12" or SS RL-i 10"

Both will get somewhere between 600-1000w and I plan to build a box that will downfire in my 97 grand cherokee so i can continue to use my trunk space and not worry about damaging the sub.

the RL-i will be ported but the Mag is sealed only. What do you guys think?

what exactly are you asking? the rli would be cheaper but might take up more space being ported

I figured the rli would take about the same or less space. Im asking which one would u guys get. Mag is suppose to be a nice sq sub but i hear the rl-i aint bad either. Not sure how the output would compare on these....

The rl-i is only rated for around 500 watts RMS, so putting 600-1000 on it might cause some issues with its 2" coil. If you have right at 1000 watts, you can't (shouldn't) send that to the rl-i but you can send it to the Mag. Being able to send a driver double the power compared to another is a 3 dB gain.

The inductance on the rl-i is 5 times higher than the Mag and its rated Xmax is about the same as a Mag, although it's not as linear as an XBL^2 driver. Mounting depth is the same on both drivers though.
