SI Mag 12" on Caraudio Mag!!!

As the title says!!

The driver was tested using a 450W rms amp and in a sealed 1.25cuft enclosure. Total points = 73. Not bad.

The reviewer said that its a decent subwoofer but the price is a bit high.

Go get that issue!!

i agree with the ported enclosure. super low Q screams for a ported enclosure. seems like the testers should have noticed this, or at least been made aware of it (and im sure they were made aware of it...)

it could have/should have been given alot more power. maybe something about it freaked them out and they were afraid of damaging it... buuuut, im sure it still got plenty loud on that little bit of power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I own the sub and know what it sounds better in. Besides, Hoss is right...the T/S show that its more of a ported enclosure sub. It just happens to sound very good sealed.

I can't think of any other reason why they would not throw a boatload of power at it.

We are NOT located in New York, and we are not a shop. We are located in NC and are a manufacturer.

But yeah, Bob (the reviewer) should have been informed that the Mag should see 1000 watts but he put two channels of Genesis amplifier on it (300 watts RMS rated). He didn't open the sub up at all and the review reflects it IMO. He saw NOTHING of the Mag's output capability with 300'ish watts.

BTW: We do not advertise in CA&E at all.

Pretty decent article though considering the power.

Well that's a less than stellar review. What a tard.

I know what it's capable of. And that's all I care about.

I would imagine it wouldn't be worth MSRP if you're putting it in the wrong box with 1/3rd RMS...

but in that scenario, nothing would be a good buy would it.

In that same issue, they tested the polk audio 12" SR with 2000W of RMS power. That is a 600W rms sub What gives??

Maybe SI didnt send a big fat check glued to the cone of the Mag:laugh:
