Well my $200 shure e3c's left speaker went out a few days ago... check their site, NICE! A two year warranty on all products... but when did I buy mine? Search old emails...

Jan 10, 2004. fuck

now it'll be $55 to get them repaired.. or say f- it and get a new cheaper set... I'll probably repair them... what are the odds that **** speaker would go out two years and one week after purchase...

I would try calling them- they will likely goodwill warranty them because the time is so close- it's worth a shot and doesn't cost you anything to try.

that sux. Playing devil's advocate here, they might not have been covered anyway...just like a sub, owner abuse isn't covered. They'd prolly say you overpowered them.

I tried this morning but they have one of those stupid prerecorded help things as their customer service, never gave me an option to talk with a person //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I might shoot them an email about it though and see how generous they are, the last thing I need it to spend $55 + ship to get these repaired..

While under a valid warranty period, damaged or defective products (purchased domestically) may be returned to Shure's Service Department without prior authorization for service and repair, free of charge.

It sounds like they would take them, plus the more likely reason they failed is from a pinched wire in the cord or some connection in there, but who knows.

I would definetley fire them an email- just be polite, but firm- you may be surprised, especially if you got them directly from Shure. I know I love mine (notch below yours)
