So is there a different technique than that of smoking cigarettes????
And is there anyway of telling how good/strong its gunna be without knowing the source/dealer personally?

Don't smoke and expect to get high your first time.For me it was try number 3. Like george said, don't hold the hit too long.It's proven that 98% of the THC is absorbed within a couple seconds.

If you're smoking some decent bud, your first time will blow your mind.

yup ahaa. first time i got truly blazed (got high a few times off mids and it was fun no doubt) was off ak-47...

at that point i was like "omfg...i thought i knew what being high was..oh god"

First up, some chronic. Not compressed, plenty of crystals, no seeds, not overly dry, etc.

Next up, here's the low end of the spectrum. Notice how there's seeds, the buds are compressed, lots of shake, pretty dry, you can't always describe the smell of schwag. Just to note, this is an older pic and nothing of this quality has been in my stash box in a long time.

Smell, feel, look, can all help determine the quality of bud.But the most fool proof, and best way is to smoke it.

Not particularly, I just didn't know how to smoke at all (I tried pot before cigs).

Pyro's pics are pretty good in describing the differences. The first one is definitely top notch chronic. The second pic, I would reckon is more mids than dirt or brick though...lucky bastard.

i tried weed for the first time fri night i started the thread sying i wanted to try shrooms but i did weed instead it was awesome people told me i probably would feel anything but i was trippin balls. we got a dime bag me and my best friend dustin and had my friend brian to watch over us he wouldnt try it cause he had just gotten busted for booze and was a bit optimistic about his parents and stuff so we roll two or three blunts i dont remember but o well and the first one was ok felt like i was smokin a weed out of my back yard... but i absolutely love the smell and taste of it lol... and i felt nothing at first the i tried to skateboard and then it hit man it felt like everything was so slow like i checked the time every 5 min and i was freaking out then i just started coming up with plans of how to get in the house without my mom noticing and i just laughed at everything it was sweet then we head into my house and my moms like what you guys doing and i was like playing b-ball in the barn and she is like cool i was so **** scared i felt like i was going to die then we went down stairs and sat down in my movie room and played halo 3 i killed everyone even the sober person 25-18, during the halo game i was so relaxed and quiet then my friend brian left then it started to wear off i at a whole can of chedder cheese pringles then went to bed never slept so well. great/ok experience

coming from a 4 year pot-head......dont start smokin pot. I dont think there is anything wrong with it but after you smoke it for a couple years you realize that it has subtle impacts on your life and it just somthin you dont need and I would not recomend that anyone try or start smokin pot
