I need to replace my front stage speakers. Iv'e running a set of ID CXS comps on a PPI p900.4 for about 7 months until the 6.5 in the right door blew out (pushed them pretty hard with the PPI amp bridged). They were kinda loud but i was never too impressed with them. They sounded really good on some songs at lower levels but never really shined when playing loud... I have deadned doors too but i was just never really too impressed with these speakers and being that they are on the higher end of the price range i have a hard time getting another comp set around that price. Since I have the PPi 900.4 (which has the capablilty to run active crossover) and a clarion cz702 HU (which also has the capability to run as an active crossover) should I look into getting pro audio stuff? Like 2 6.5 mids, and 2 tweeters? Basicacly what i want out of my front stage is loud and clear. Im not too concerned with sound imaging and getting super into sound quality and all that. I just want them to sound good and clear and get loud. So should i just get another comp set or should i go for pro audio? My budget is $400
